The target of this 1st Workshop was once to compile end-users, brands and (computer) regulate experts to guage chances within the very important box of manufacturing unit automation. This quantity deals options for product, strategy layout, construction layout and keep an eye on. Technical standards also are mentioned and fiscal justification equipment are evaluated. The papers incorporated current clever, modular, "low rate" ways or recommendations applicable for small and medium sized businesses which would make the most of more suitable potency and competitiveness

Robots in the industrial factory plant build the backbone for CIM, which is outlined to be the factory automation strategy of the future. In this paper a hierarchical manufacturing cell control system for robotic work cells is described. This approach bases on low cost personal computer hardware and consists of two different control systems, one for the robot control tasks and another one for the work cell control tasks. The underlying concept is based on a strategic architectural model for hierarchical manufacturing control, where it focuses on the process sequence coordination and the process control in the bottom hierarchical layers.

In Section 4 some examples of application of the proposed method are shown. First we plan a path for a three-dimensional three-degrees of freedom manipulator acting in a moderately cluttered environment. A further application deals with two robotic manipulators acting in a common workspace. The path is calculated in the common Cspace of the two robotic manipulators and the resulting length of the path is minimal with respect to the variations of the joint variables. Simulations show the effectiveness of the proposed solution.

First of all the requests and restrictions have described. Some of the requests have not been formulated detailly, because it was planned to take into account the ideas of the hard- and software suppliers. - is it possible to integrate the existing L A N infra structure? - no cable laying between the buildings. The sequence of operation to select a software - does the software support a SQL interface ? product run in the opposite way as it is done 28 This kind of test must be insert into the instructional strategy when buying standard software packages and before a contract is closed.
